RTS 2009 NEWS LETTER 01: Well, we certainly finished 2008 on a high note out target is to finish 2009 the same way even better if possible.

Should any driver feel he/she could contribute by way of being a BOC member and making impartial decisions with respect to the running of the RTS please contact Kevin such requests will be considered by the BOC when it next meets.

Whilst on the subject of the BOC three drivers are currentley suspended pending there 2009 applications being considered by the BOC, they are pick up driver Sharp and Norman and 2lt driver Norman, it is hoped the next meeting will take place early April.

Looks like we will have a Reliant Robin attack in 2009 as part of a joint agreement with the management of Arena with respect to the Croydon Motor Club we have agreed to take a number of Juniors and Euro Rods on our books and provide the Robins with racing once a month all of the drivers have been advised as to our rules and the requirement of its compliance, should any driver have any query as to the specification please call Alan 07775668211 to ensure compliance, don't want any tears on the day.

Superstox drivers when you first arrive with your car for scrutineering please declare as to which specification the car complies to, the scrutineer will then having satisfied the car complies will stamp your licence, should your not be fully in compliance with your chosen specification, the scrutineer is advised not to certify your car until the car fully complies with your chosen specification, non compliance you will be excluded from all results irrespective as to where you finished.

Mini Sprints wings must be put back on, all those doggy engines put them in the bin because as of this year we have our own engine, should you be found to be travelling around the race track at a speed greater that what we believe you should be then you will be obliged to remove your engine and fit the RTS one, no need to explain the rest.

Pick up's Mark Calder has agreed to run the experimental American Racer Tires, whilst at present we are not intending to change supplier it is important to have alternatives in the event of a difficulty with the current supply, we would advise everybody the American Racer Tire is experimental it could be worse or it could be better, until they are raced proper we have no way of knowing there durability so please let the test be completed before anyone voices an opinion.

2lt Hot Rods again we have a tire we will be testing during the course of the year for the same reason as set out in the Pick up's.

You may or may not be aware we are working on a 2 day event 27-28 June in conjunction with PRI which is the annual Festival of Speed, possible it would work something like this: all PRI Rod formulas and all RTS formulas competing in 2 heats on the Saturday and on the Sunday heat and grand final in conjunction with PRI's other banger formulas.

By now most of you will be aware we have installed a new strobe light system at the raceway so no more excesses i did not see the lights, should you be found not to have slowed when the lights are turned on you will be immediately be blacked flagged and excluded from the meeting, the lights are installed for your safety so please obey the signal.

The Office has had to change its phone number so please take note of the new number 01268 543735.

We look foward to seeing you all in March. Cheers The RTS Team

Oval Racing Forums are pleased to announce a brand new website which has joined the Oval Racing brand:www.ovalracingauctions.co.uk

Oval Racing Auctions is a website for oval racers and fans who want to buy, sell and advertise their products, services, unwanted race items, secondhand (and new) cars and anything that applies to the world of oval motorsport...

The best part is that it is all completely FREE to sell!

You won't pay final value fees, you won't pay setup fees, you won't pay reserve fees and you won't pay listing fees, in fact you won't pay ANY FEES unless you decide to apply one of the listing enhancements like bold, highlighted or category promoted!

The website has been written by a team of in-house developers which means it can be fully customised and changed thus any feedback is welcomed, please use the contact us link on the website to get in contact with the development team. They will be happy to make the website work the way the people want it to!

With the launch of this new website the "Classifieds Section" section on the Oval Racing Forums will be removed at the end of this year. The new website will give sellers a better opportunity to advertise items for sale, than what could be done on the Oval Racing Forums, in an auction style with images and full description... and still all FREE!

The success of this new website is all down the spreading the word and getting people using it! So... please tell everyone you know connected in the Oval Racing scene about this website and feel free to advertise the website - www.OvalRacingAuctions.co.uk - on your race cars or various websites.
